Job Title: Business Analyst

Role purpose

The Business Analyst will support SEV Services Ltd in optimising its operational and financial performance through data-driven insights, process improvements, and effective business reporting.
This role focuses on analysing workflows, defining key performance indicators, and enhancing financial and project control systems to drive efficiency and sustainable growth.

Entry Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a quantitative, business or finance discipline. Proven experience in a business analyst or financial/analyst role with measurable impact on performance, costs or controls. Strong financial literacy (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis and investment appraisal. Advanced Excel and data skills; familiarity with SQL and modern BI tools. Clear, concise communicator; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.

Key responsibilities

  1. Analyse business processes, systems, and data across the organisation to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and value-adding change.
  2. Work with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritise business requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with SEV Services Ltd’s objectives.
  3. Model current and future state processes, map data flows, and propose system or workflow enhancements to support operational and financial efficiency.
  4. Build job-costing and profitability models, budget vs actuals reports, and working-capital/CFO dashboards to improve decision-making.
  5. Define and maintain KPIs (margin, WIP, on-time/on-budget, DSO/DPO) and strengthen purchase-to-pay and financial control processes.
  6. Support the selection, design, and implementation of business systems by providing impact analysis, business cases, and process documentation.
  7. Communicate findings, present insights and recommendations clearly to management, and help embed data-driven decision-making across the company
